I took over a Web3 artist portfolio that had been in development for a year without reaching the finish line. My mission was to audit the existing work, manage the development, and design the missing features required for launch. Within three months of my involvement, the project was successfully live.

Role: product designer and project manager

role: Creative Director & Lead Product Designer

The Rescue and Management

When I joined, the project suffered from a lack of direction and incomplete features. I stepped in to manage the developer by organizing tasks, defining specifications, and performing rigorous Quality Assurance. My leadership transformed a project destined for failure into a polished, launched product.

Design Evolution and UX Refactoring

Post launch, I focused on scaling the experience and fixing legacy usability issues:

  • Interface Overhaul: I redesigned the Home page to create a dramatic, immersive entrance that highlights specific artworks with high visual impact.

  • Custom CMS: I orchestrated the creation of a custom CMS to give the artist autonomy over his content.

  • Performance and SEO: Working with a second developer to refactor the code, we exponentially improved the site’s SEO and loading speeds.

  • Artist Context: I integrated specific Web3 metadata for each piece, such as minting status and availability, without cluttering the artistic experience.

Craft and Interaction

To honor the artist’s vision, I implemented subtle micro-interactions triggered by cursor movement and mouse positioning. These details ensure the interface feels alive and connected to the digital art it showcases. I also implemented a newsletter system that now serves as the artist’s primary channel for weekly engagement with his community.

Key Achievements

  • Efficiency: Reduced time to market by 75% through active project management.

  • Scalability: Transformed a static portfolio into a dynamic platform with a custom backend and email marketing integration.

  • Visual Narrative: Balanced high drama artistic layouts with functional navigation and clear information architecture.
