After assisting on the first website, I was appointed Creative Director and Lead UI/UX Designer for Volcan’s global digital relaunch. The goal was to translate their rebranding into a minimalist luxury experience that moved away from generic cultural tropes toward a high end monochrome identity.

The Challenge

Volcan’s new branding featured cinematic assets that required a refined digital stage. I designed an interface that functioned as an invisible gallery, ensuring the high quality content remained the focus while maintaining the prestige of the LVMH group.

The Experience

I mapped the entire user journey through storyboarding to ensure fluid transitions. Key features include:

  • Linear Storytelling: A purposeful flow that guides users through the brand heritage.

  • The Smart Footer: A custom interaction where the footer reveals next steps upon reaching the end of the scroll, eliminating the need for menu navigation.

  • The Cocktail Timeline: An immersive recipe feature inspired by Spotify lyrics where the instructions are synchronized with a production video.

Craft and Performance

I collaborated with developers to balance visual fidelity with technical stability. We made a strategic choice to prioritize high definition assets to protect the brand’s premium perception. By creating functional previews in Figma, I ensured stakeholder alignment and a pixel perfect handoff under strict global deadlines.

Results

The live global site solidified a relationship of trust with the client. My progression from assistant to Creative Director reflects a commitment to professional integrity, punctuality, and design excellence. The project now serves as an internal benchmark for aesthetic and usability standards.
